DivXNetworks Adds Execs
San Diego-based DivXNetworks announced this morning that it has added a new CFO and COO to its executive team. John Tanner has joined as CFO, and Kevin Hell has been added as COO for the video compression company. Tanner was most recently CFO at AdForce, and Hell was promoted from the role of Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Director at the company. DivXNetworks provides compression/decompression technology for video that is included in multimedia devices for video playback.

Quest Upgrades PeopleSoft, Oracle Change Management Tool
Irvine-based Quest Software has upgraded its new software product that manages changes in Oracle and Peoplesoft. The company's Stat Application Change Management (ACM) tool helps manage application changes, configuration, and patches. The company said that it has added personalized views in its web interface, ability to run reports for regulatory compliance, and accurate accounting. The software supports PeopleSoft AppConnect Version 8.4, PeopleSoft 8.0 and PeopleSoft 7.5.

SeeBeyond Gets Win At Yamaha
Monrovia-based SeeBeyond said this morning that Thai Yamaha Motor has tapped the company for its integration software. Thai Yamaha Motor, one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles in Thailand, will use SeeBeyond's products to automate data exchange on its dealer network for sales forecasting, production planning, and customer service. SeeBeyond's software enables integration of disparate databases and software.

IMC Networks Powers Up Ethernet Converters
Foothill Ranch-based IMC Networks has launched its new line of PSE-McBasic fiber optic media converters. The new products can provide both data and power to devices using twisted pair data cabling, and are targeted at allowing for the installation of remotely powered devices such as Wireless Access Points, VoIP phones, and IP security cameras at the far end of fiber connections. The Power over Ethernet functionality of its converters greatly reduces the complexity and coast of installing devices (More info...)

Interview with Luis Villalobos, Tech Coast Angels and ACA
The Tech Coast Angels (www.techcoastangels.com) and the National Angel Capital Association (www.angelcapitalassociation.org) recently announced that they are going to work together to improve angel deal flow and best practices. Luis Villalobos is a founder of the TCA and sits on the board of the National Angel Capital Association.
