Oak Grove Upgrades BPM Software
Calabasas-based Oak Grove Systems said that it has officially launched the latest version of its Reactor business process management software suite. The company's Reactor 6.0 product allows companies to manage their .NET and Java applications. The company has added support for clustering, load balancing, automatic failover, and improved the performance of its solutions. Oak Grove's software is used for managing Web Services, XML, and J2EE-based business software.

DirecTV Divests Satellite Operations
El Segundo-based DIRECTV Group and SkyTerra Communications announced this morning that DIRECTV will sell off DIRECTV's Hughes Network Systems assets to SkyTerra for approximately $360M in cash and stock. The divestiture continues DIRECTV's continued focus on its consumer satellite television business, after its purchase by News Corp. and Fox Entertainment. Conexant Offshores Development To India
Newport Beach-based Conexant announced this morning that it has acquired Paxonet Communications, a Fremont-based company which maintains most of its workforce in India. Paxonet provides semiconductor design services for a variety of customers, including Conexant. According to Conexant, Paxonet has 105 employees, with 100 of them in Pune and Bangalore.
