Air-Trak Names CEO
San Diego-based Air-Trak said that it has named Greg White as President and CEO. White was most recently a partner at the Autobahn Consulting Group LLC. He also has served as CEO and founder of Kablink, and CEO and founder of TriTeal. White has been serving as the company's interim CEO since August. Air-Trak develops systems for location, tracking, and communications based on global positioning system (GPS) and wireless communications systems. Accruent Appoints VP
Santa Monica-based Accruent is announcing today that it has appointed a new VP of Product Development to the company. Robert Blatt has been named VP Product Development for the contract management solutions company, and will head up prodcut strategy and product research and development. Blatt as most recently at Aspect Telecommunications, and was President and CEO of Outcome Software. Accruent develops contract management solutions from real estate and other markets.

Storix Integrates DR Into BakBone
San Diego-based Storix said this morning that it has integrated its disaster recovery software into San Diego-based BakBone Software's VaultDR Online solution for Linux. The Storix System Backup Administration Disaster Recovery software for AIX is already integrated in BakBone's NetVault data protection software as part of Bakbone's OEM agreement with Sony Electronics.

THQ To Ship Constantine Video Game
Calabasas-based THQ said today that the company has entered into an exclusive agreement with SCi Entertainment Group to release "Constantine", a video game based on the film/comic. THQ will publish the game, licensed by Warner Bros. and DC Comics for PlayStation 2 and Xbox in February in conjunction with the film's release. Constantine is based on the DC Comics Hellblazer comics.

Roxio Spins Off Consumer Software Division, Becomes Napster
Roxio announced this morning that it has completed the sale of its consumer software division to Sonic Solutions, and will begin operating under the Napster name, officially changing its name from Roxio Inc. to Napster Inc. Roxio, best known for its line of Easy CD Creater CD and DVD burning software, purchased the Napster brand name last year and began a legal online music download business that goes head to head with Apple's iTunes and other music stores. Linspire Sells Laptop At Walmart.com
San Diego-based Linspire announced this morning that Walmart.com has released the $498 Balance laptop running the company's Linspire Linux operating system. The laptop runs with the Linspire operating system, Internet suite, and a full office suite. Linspire said that the laptop is the lowest-priced laptop currently on the market that includes both operating system and a Microsoft Windows-compatible office suite, which the company leverages from OpenOffice.
