Leap Promotes Executives
San Diego-based Leap Wireless has promoted Albin Moschner to EVP and Chief Marketing Officer and Glenn Umetsu to EVP and Chief Technical Officer. Moschner was most recently interim SVP of marketing, and was president of Verizon Card Services. Umetsu has been at Leap since 2000. Leap is a provider of wireless communication services. Leap is currently emerging from a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.

RiverOne Gets Electronics Win
Irvine-based RiverOne announced this morning that SMT Dynamics EMsource division will tap its supply chain management software. EMSource LLC will use RiverOne's software to manage its global supply chain. The RiverOne software will allow SMT to control the forecast and purchasing process with suppliers and customers, in addition to managing inventory replenishment.

Mindspeed Releases Broadband Firmware
Newport Beach-based Mindspeed announced this morning that it has released new firmware for its TSP3 access network processors which provide access aggregation, protocol intenetworking, IP multicasting, and quality of service for data communications equipment. The new BroadbandMaker firmware provides building blocks for manufacturers looking to support these various services in their network equipment.

Inphi Ships Sampling ICs
Westlake Village-based Inphi is announcing the availability this morning of two new integrated circuit devices for test and measurement equipment. Inphi's 25706CP and 25707CP - 25 GHz Latched Comparators provide high frequency sampling for high speed instrumentation, test and measurement equipment, automated test equipment, and military and telecommunications applications. IFILM Replays Super Bowl Commercials
Los Angeles-based IFILM and Limelight Networks said that the companies will post all of this year's Super Bowl commercdials online via Internet streaming. IFILM users can log and see the full Super Bowl ad lineup. IFILM provides movies, short films, TV clips, trailers, and music videos through the Internet, and has partnerships with Real Networks, WindowsMedia, Philips, Fandango, Akimbo, and IGN.

Xdrive Releases Virtual iPod, On the Block?
Santa Monica-based Xdrive is announcing this morning that it is launching a new music service that allows people to listen to their digital music collections through any Treo phone, Palm, Tungsten, or Sony Clie PDA. The service stores the user's music collection through the Xdrive online Internet site and streams audio through their cell phone connection.
