ValueClick Reports MediaPlex Wins
Westlake Village-based ValueClick said this morning that it has scored several wins for its MediaPlex advertising agency management tools. Daily & Associates, an advertising agency, will use MediaPlex to manage its national and local television, radio and print media buying logistics. Palisades Media Group, a media buying and planning firm which services Miramax Films, Lion's Gate Films, and Electronic Arts, has also tapped MediaPlex for national and local broadcast and print media managemen (More info...)

eEye Upgrades Security Software
Aliso Viejo-based eEye Digital Security has shipped its latest upgrade to its Retina line of network security software. The company's 5.2 version of the software adds SSH tunneling support to connect to non-Windows devices and an automated software update tool. The new SSH support is targeted at allowing customers to better manage Linux, Unix, and Cisco network devices. eEye's software scans for security vulnerabilities in corporate networks. eEye is backed by Bessemer Venture Partners and Insig (More info...)

Roaming Messenger Adds New BlackBerry Support
Santa Barbara-based Roaming Messenger said yesterday that it is adding support for the global positioning system (GPS) enabled BlackBerry 7520 from Research in Motion. Roaming Messenger provides software which runs on BlackBerry and other portable devices and connects workers to business applications. The company markets its software to corporations and government agencies, and is targeting public safety, field service management, sales force management, and more.

Napster Ups Revenue Projections
Los Angeles-based Napster is reporting that its music subscription service is growing faster than expected, and has raised fourth quarter guidance. The company said that it now expects revenues of approximately $15M for Q4, an increase over prior projections of $14M. The company said that revenues were being driven by positive reception of Napster-compatible MP3 players from iriver, Creative, and Dell.
