Mindspeed Gets Siemens Design WinNewport Beach-based Mindspeed announced yesterday that its VoIP processors are now shipping with Siemens Communications VoIP media gateways. The company's Comcerto voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) processors are being used in the Siemens gateways to bridge between traditional public switch telephone networks and IP-based networks. Autobytel Shuffles ExecsIrvine-based Autobytel said yesterday that it has appointed a new CEO and President, as the company continues to struggle with a financial restatement. Autobytel has appointed Richard Post as CEO and President, as current CEO Jeffrey Schwartz steps down and becomes Vice Chairman of the company. Actimis Pharmaceuticals Gets $6MSan Diego-based Actimis Pharmaceuticals said this morning that it has closed a $6M Series A financing round from Sanderling VEntures and Mitsui & Co. The company is a spinout of Bayer HealthCare AG, and is developing and commercializing small molecule therapeutics for respiratory and inflammatory diseases.
