Demarc Scores Customer WinCarpinteria-based Demarc Security said this week that it has landed a customer at Do It Outdoors, an advertising, marketing, and promotions firm. Do It Outdoors will tap the Demarc Sentarus Workgroup softare to protect its computer networks. Do It provides mobile billboards, street teams, and scooter squads for its customers. Sentarus is a threat management solution that includes intrusion detection, vulnerability management, and service monitoring.

Iomega, Grass Valley PartnerSan Diego-based Iomega and Thomson's Grass Valley business announced this week that the two have entered an OEM and joint technology development agreeement. Thomson Offers Interactive Game DesignThomson's Burbank-based Technicolor unit said today that it is expanding its services to media and entertainment clients, by launching new interactive game design services for game developers and publishers. CarsDirect Acquires 1-800 CommunicationsLos Angeles-based CarsDirect has acquired a provider of special finance auto leads to dealers, 1-800 Communications, the company announced this morning. 1-800 Communications matches consumers with a poor credit rating with finance options and auto dealers. Walt Disney Internet Buys Minds EyeNorth Hollywood-based Walt Disney Internet Group said this morning that it has acquired Minds Eye, a developer of interactive TV games. Terms were not disclosed. Minds Eye is a London-based developer of interactive games for the Sky network, and is the developer of all of Disney's "Disney Channel Play" games on the Sky Network.
