HostedSupport.com Releases eBay Support
Los Angeles-based HostedSupport.com has released a new product targeting support for eBay sellers. The company said that it has released ezSupport Lite for eBay, a specialized version of its online support product that is designed to work with eBay's system. SK-EarthLink Names Execs, Headquarters
Los Angeles-based SK-Earthlink, the wireless joint venture of SK Telecom and Earthlink, said today that it has named it executive team and placed its headquarters here in Westwood. The joint venture is developing wireless services for Earthlink, and is headed by Earthlink founder Sky Dayton. Dr. Wonhee Sull will act as the company's Chief Operating Officer, having served as CTO for SK TElecom's wireless data business. Active Network Acquires Sports Marketing Agency
San Diego-based Active Network said this week that it has acquired Massachusetts-based Vision Sports and Entertainment Partners. Financial terms were not disclosed. Vision Sports provides integrated marketing for the youth sports market, tying clients and local youth sports communities. Active Network provides technology, marketing, and services focused on community activities and events.

ITC Starts Qualcomm Investigation
The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) has begun an investigation into whether San Diego-based Qualcomm has engaged in unfair trade practices by importing baseband processor chips and components that infringe upon Irvine-based Broadcom patents. Irvine-based Broadcom had filed a compliant with the ITC in May, seeking to bar Qualcomm from importing devices that Broadcom says infringe upon its patents. Orqis Medical Finds $22.7M
Lake Forest-based Orqis Medical Corporation, a developer of a catheter-based cardiac recovery system, said that it has raised $22.7M in Series D financing. The company's systems are used to treat congestive heart failure. Funding came from Boston Scientific, existing investors, and new investor Lighthouse Capital Partners. DriveCam Raises $18M
San Diego-based DriveCam, a developer of camera-based systems for modifying driving behavior, said that it has raised $18M in Series B funding from Menlo Ventures, JMI Equity, and management. The company said that Menlo contributed $10.7M to the investment, with $7M from JMI Equity. The company said that it will invest the venture funds into accelerating growth of markets, products, people, and infrastructure.
