CMC Delivers 802.11i Testing
Santa Barbara-based Communication Machinery Corp has released a new testing tool for the 802.11i Robust Security Network (RSN) standard. The company said that its EE-SEC test tool provides full load testing of wireless network security, and is designed to allow WLAN network and equipment designers to test their features and performance under real-world load scenarios. The test tool supports EE-SEC RSN (802.11i and WPA2), and Open System, Shared Key, WPA-PSK, WPA, RSN-PSK, and RSN authentication (More info...)

ValueClick Expands In France
ValueClick's Santa Barbara-based Commission Junction unit said this morning that the company has launched its affiliate marketing services in France. Commission Junction has launched a French-language based version of its affiliate marketing services. The expansion adds to ValueClick's existing ValueClick Media, Mediaplex, and Pricerunner.fr units operating in the country. Commission Junction provides affiliate marketing and search marketing tools to help advertisers increase leads and sales.

Stamps Upgrades PC Postage Software
Los Angeles-based Stamps.com said today that it has upgraded its PC postage software. Version 5.0 of the company's online postage printing software adds a redesigned user interface, richer web content, and a beta of enterprise-wide postage management features. The company said that its Stamps.com Enterprise software allows corporate customers to manage their corporate-wide mailing and shipping expenses. Cisco Buys NetSift For $30M
Networking giant Cisco Systems said that it has acquired San Diego-based NetSift, a Enterprise Partners backed startup developing technology for packet processing and filtering high speed network traffic. The deal is worth $30M in cash and options for NetSift. Cisco said that it would integrate the company to add its content processing technology into future core Cisco platforms in the modular switching area. Sun Buys SeeBeyond For $387M
Sun Microsystems and Monrovia-based SeeBeyond Technology said yesterday that Sun will buy SeeBeyond for $387M in cash, in a move expected to boost Sun's Java and Solaris offerings. According to the companies, SeeBeyond, a developer of integration tools for the enterprise IT market, will help expand Sun's offerings in the emerging area of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the areas of development, deployment, and management of enterprise applications.
