Hirsch Rejoins ValueClick
Westlake Village-based ValueClick said today that Jeff Hirsch has rejoined the company as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Hirsch will report to Jeff Pullen, COO. Hirsch was Chief Revenue Officer of Fastclick.com, and served as VP Business Development for ValueClick. Hirsch was also listed as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Santa Barbara-based Experclick, an online advertising market, which he joined after leaving FastClick.

WebSideStory Lands Adobe
San Diego-based WebSideStory has landed software firm Adobe Systems as a client of its web analytics services. WebSideStory, which develops software that allows companies to analyze their web site visitors and e-commerce activity, said that Adobe will use the WebSideStory real time analytics services to measure its online marketing and effectiveness.

Hacker Hits USC
A hacker has breached the University of Southern California's admissions database, and that the school is contacting 270,000 actual and would-be applicants to the school as a precaution. According to the Los Angeles Times and SecurityFocus, the hacker may have had access to student names, addresses, and Social Security numbers, but may have only accessed less than 10 records. Digital Map Products Raises $3M
Costa Mesa-based Digital Map Products said this morning that it has closed a Series C financing worth $3M, led by Titan Investment Partners. The company said that it would use the new funding to grow its sales organization, enhance existing products, and develop solutions for additional markets. Digital Map Products is a developer of web-based GIS software. The company targets government agencies, utilities, realtors, and others with its outsourced mapping capabilities.
