Citrix, BMC Integrate CRM Solutions
Santa Barbara-based Citrix Online has partnered with management software provider BMC Software. The firms announced yesterday that Citrix GoToAssist has been validated with BMC's Remedy ticket tracking system. The two solutions provide integrated remote support capability, with Remedy collecting all information about the remote customer support session. UC Irvine Targets RFID Degree
According to News.com, the University of California Irvine is developing an certificate program focused on radio frequenty identification (RFID). In an interview with News.com Stefano Stefan, an assistant director for the school's continuing education series, said that the courses may be available as soon as the winter quarter of 2006. RFID technology allows for the tracking of items via radio tags, and is being adopted for tracking packages, shipments, parts, and even people.

Troika Networks Raises $14.4M
Westlake Village-based Troika Networks has raised a $14.4M Series B funding round for its network-based storage services solutions. Investors included Anthem Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, DynaFund Ventures, Hamilton Technology Ventures, and Windward Ventures, all previous investors in the firm. Troika said that the funding would be to expand its marketing, sales and services functions and to broaden channel and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnerships.

Cryocor Prices IPO
San Diego-based Cryocor has priced an initial public offering of 3,709,390 shares of common stock at $11.00 per share, according to the company and filings through the SEC. The IPO is expected to raise $40M for the firm. Cryocor develops disposable catheter systems for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmia. WorkZoo Acquired By Jobster
Fountain Valley-based WorkZoo has been acquired by online jobs site Jobster. WorkZoo, a vertical meta-search engine for job boards, will be incorporated into Jobster's job advertising and employment services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. WorkZoo's job search engine allows users to search for jobs across a wide range of online job sites, aggregating those results and allowing users to filter them by distance from a zip code or city. Broadcom, Alacritech, and Microsoft Cross License Patents
Irvine-based Broadcom, Alacritech, and Microsoft said yesterday that the companies have entered into agreements to settle a long standing dispute between Alacritech and Microsoft on TCP/IP technology used in Microsoft Windows. The agreement settles all disputes between the companies, and allows Microsoft and Broadcom access to Alacritech's patent portfolio.
