iRise Ramps Alliance Program
El Segundo-based software provider iRise said today that it has reached a total of 15 new members to its partner community since its launch in November of last year. iRise provides application definition software for web sites that allows companies to define and validate application flow, business logic and usability requirements of web applications. CafePress.com, Stamps.com Partner on PhotoStamps
Los Angeles-based Stamps.com and personzlied products marketplace CafePress.com announced this morning that the two companies have partnered to bring the Stamps popular PhotoStamps service to CafePress members. Stamps.com's PhotoStamps service allows users to create customized, legal U.S. postage. Napster Certifies Portable Devices
Los Angeles-based Napster has certified a new set of portable devices for use with its music download service, adding the Palm Treo 650 Smartphone, Rio, and Samsung devices to its growing list of certified players. The legal file download service said that the company has rigorously tested and certified the devices. Ixia Acquires Communication Machinery
Calabasas-based Ixia said this morning that it has acquired Santa Barbara-based Communication Machinery Corporation, a maker of wireless test products and tools. Communications Machinery makes 802.11a/b/g network equipment test tools targeted at WLAN engineering organization, service deployment teams, and equipment manufacturers.
