Lake Forest-based Wonderware said today that it has upgraded its InTouch human machine interface software. Streamload Opens Online Media Center
Huntington Beach-based Streamload has rolled out a new online service, expanding beyond its online file storage service to include a complete online media center. The company's new Streamload MediaMax service allows consumers to organize, access, and share their media collection. Versora Ships Linux Migration Toolkit
Santa Barbara-based Versora and Win4Lin said yesterday that the two companies have bundled their software together to provide a desktop migration toolkit for Windows users moving to Linux. The "Complete Linux Desktop Migration and Virtualization Toolkit" includes Versora's desktop data migration software, and Win4Lin's software for running Windows 2000 and XP applications on Linux. Study Ranks ISPs, Finds Dial-Up Hours Up
Westlake Village-based J.D. Power and Associates has released its latest rating of residential Internet Service Providers (ISPs). The study finds that the number of hours dial-up users spend online is up, from 15.6 hours per week in 2004 to 17.8 hours in 2005. The study also ranked online ISPs, finding that Cox ranks highest in customer satisfaction for high speed Internet, and SBC Yahoo! ranking highest among dial-up providers.
