Active Network Buys Golf Course Software Maker
San Diego-based The Active Network said that it has acquired a maker of tee time reservation and golf course management software. Active said that it has acquired Tee Time King, a New Jersey software provider. Terms were not disclosed. Active said that the acquisition will enable it to bring new opportunities to golf course operators, golf tournament and event directors, and golfers. Breach Unveils New Web Application Security Application

Verari Rolls Out Dual-Core AMD Support
San Diego-based Verari Systems has rolled out new dual-core AMD Opteron processor support in a new line of systems. The company said that its Model 180, 280, and 880 processors will support AMD's latest dual-core processors for the blade server market. Verari develops blade server systems which pack high speed PC servers into thermal-optimized, small footprint racks. Fandango Launches Mobile Ticketing Service
Los Angeles-based Fandango has rolled out a new mobile service for movie information and ticketing. Fandango said that it will allow users of mobile phones and PDAs to access movie information via web and text messaging. The information available will include movie reviews, showtimes, ticket alerts, and online ticketing. Yahoo Expands Finance Content

Intermix Rejects Bid By Former CEO
Los Angeles-based Intermix Media, operator of the popular MySpace.com social networking site, today said that its board of directors has rejected a proposal by former Chariman and CEO Brad Greenspan to acquire the company.
