iStor Adds Resellers
Irvine-based iStor Networks, a provider of iSCSI subsystem storage controllers, said today that it has signed up two new value added resellers for the company's equipment. iStor has signed on AuraGen Technologies and RAID Inc. as value added resellers of its GigaStorATX product. iStor's iSCSI product provides iSCSI and RAID functionality for manufacturers of storage systems. iStor's storage controllers fit into an ATX form factor device and can be used to build high-performance iSCSI storage arr (More info...)

Aktino Lands Alaskan Customer
Irvine-based Aktino has landed Matanuska Telephone Association (MTA), an Alaskan telephone cooperative as a user of its embedded copper loop equipment. MTA will use Aktino's AK3000 platform for connecting its wireless cell sites. The equipment deployment will allow MTA to provide full and fractional DS3 to a majority of its wireless cell sites and copper-connected business customers. GoldPocket Ties Into Weight Loss TV Series
Los Angeles-based mobile content firm GoldPocket Wireless has tied into The Biggest Loser, NBC's weight-loss reality series. GoldPocket will power a subscription service based on the show. The service will provide "best of" tips from the show, diet hints, and workout facts as part of a paid subscription service. NBC will use GoldPocket's content management and distribution platform for the service. GoldPocket Wireless provides mobile content and software targeted at television and other media.

Iteris Lands On Infiniti
Anaheim-based Iteris announced that its lane departure warning systems, a vision-based system for driver safety, will be offered as part of the technology package on 2006 Nissan Infiniti FX models. Infiniti will offer the Iteris LDS system on passenger cars in North America, as part of a package that includes satellite radio, navigation, and cruise control. The lane departure system monitors the road using a camera and software, and emits a warning if the driver makes an unsignaled lane change.

Irvine-based Autobytel this morning said that it has retained Merrill Lynch & Co. to assist the company in exploring potential acquisitions, mergers with, or potential sale of the company. The company said that the company has decided to explore strategic alternatives with the goal of maximizing shareholder value and providing best of breed services for its customers.
