Entropic Ships Software Development Kits
San Diego-based Entropic Communications said this week that it has released software development kits (SDK) and evaluation kits for its networking chipsets. The company said that the kits provide developer tools and guidance for its c.LINK chipset, used for networking home entertainment products over coax cabling. The company's chips are targeted at set-top boxes, digital video records, televisions, and other home electronics.

Interlink Reorganizes, Restates Results
Camarillo-based Interlink Electronics said today in a statement that it is restating its financial results and reorganizing its business. The firm said that it is restating its 2003, 2004, and first and second quarter 2005 financials, due to what it says were "material weaknesses" in "accounting controls". Encino-based ReachLocal has tied into SMG Directory Marketing, a leading directory marketing agency, to include SMG clients in ReachLocal's online marketing platform. The partnership makes ReachLocal's online marketing platform available to SMGDM's clients. SMGDM helps to place companies in print and online directories. ReachLocal's service helps offline advertisers place online ads on Google, Yahoo, and other publishing sites.

CrownPeak Offers WebTrends Integration
Los Angeles-based CrownPeak has added integration of its content management systems with the popular WebTrends web analysis software, as part of a partnership with WebTrends. CrownPeak and WebTrends said that they have integrated the WebTrends 7 On Demand web analytics solution directly into CrownPeak's web site management services. Vital Therapies Finds $8M
San Diego-based Vital Therapies said yesterday that it has closed an $8M round of venture funding from MedVenture Associates, with participation from Valley Ventures, Paragon Venture Partners, and Toucan Capital. The funding will be used for further clinical studies of its human liver cell-based therapy for patients with severe liver failure. Zag.com Raises Venture Round
According to a regulatory filing, Los Angeles-based Zag.com has raised a round of venture capital. The stealth startup is developing an online automobile marketing solution for the automotive industry, including vehicle pricing, inventory, financing, and insurance purchases. The company is backed by Anthem Ventures and Arcturus Capital. The company did not respond to an email asking about the funding, and the company's web site does not provide any information on the firm.
