Los Angeles-based shopping comparison site PriceGrabber.com launched a new travel comparison shopping site this morning, making it possible for travelers to compare air and hotel options from various companies on the web. The move puts it into competition in the crowded online travel space, and companies such as Orbitz, Travelocity, and Expedia. Vendare Rolls Out Local, Demographic Ad Targeting
El Segundo-based Vendare Media announced this week at the AD:TECH event that it is rolling out a new targeting solution for Internet advertisers. The company's InFocus solution allows advertisers to target users by local area, demographics, context, and behavior. Siemens, Walt Disney Partner on Attractions
Burbank-based Walt Disney Company and electronics giant Siemens AG yesterday said that the two companies are in a strategic alliance to sponsor attractions across Disney businesses. Siemens will sponsor attractions at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland, and will market and promote those attractions. Napster Rolls Out Upgrade
Los Angeles-based Napster today said that it has rolled out an upgrade to its music downoad service. The company's Napster 3.5 service offers higher fidelity sound quality, personalized content, and easier navigation. The company said that its music is now available at 192k bit rate audio quality. The personalization features recommend songs and playlists based on a user's listening habits and music libraries. The upgrades are part of the company's Napster To Go unlimited download service.

NetZero Launches Voice Over IP Services
Woodland Hills-based United Online has launched into the Voice-over-Internet space with a new VoIP service. NetZero Voice is the company's answer to the popular Vonage and Skype voice over IP services, and offers free computer-to-computer calling and pay plans. Feds Arrest Spam Network Member
The FBI has arrested a member of a spybot network in Downey, according to the agency, in a crackdown on "botnets"--computers which are infected with viruses and used to launch spam or hacker attacks on other computers. The arrest of Jeanson James Ancheta is the first prosecution of the kind in the nation.
