CEIVA, Sprint Partner On Photo Receiver
Burbank-based CEIVA Logic and wireless provider Sprint said today that the two companies are now providing integration between Sprint's PCS Picture Mail and CEIVA's digital photo receiver network. Sprint PCS customers can now send and receive digital images on Sprint phones directly to CEIVA online albums and digital photo frames. CEIVA's Digital Photo Receiver is a picture frame that allows any digital photo to be displayed, and is connected via a network or phone connection allowing for photos (More info...)

LowFares.com Targets Travel Comparisons
Redondo Beach-based LowFares.com announced this week that it hasre-launched the company as a travel product comparison and shopping tool.The firm was originally a online travel agency competing against Expedia,Orbitz, Travelocity and other online travel sites. LowFares.com nowprovides side-by-side comparison shopping of travel sites, popping upfares from three sites selected by a user. The company said that it willalso began offering comparison shopping for hotels this month.

SYS Technologies Acquires cVideo For $1.5M
San Diego-based SYS Technologies said today that it has acquired San Diego-based cVideo, a provider of technology used for digital surveillance and security monitoring. The acquisition is the second this month for SYS, which acquired Logic Innovations on November 10. The company reports that cVideo has an annual run rate of approximately $3.0M. GameFly Offers Xbox 360 Titles
Los Angeles-based video game subscription rental service GameFly today said that it will begin offering Xbox 360 video game titles in conjunction with the launch of Microsoft's new Xbox 360 platform this month. GameFly provides a video rental service for computer gaming enthusiasts, and supports Sony PSP handhelds, PlayStation, GameCube, Nintendo DS, and other gaming platforms. Razer Invests In Computer Gamers
San Diego-based computer gaming accessories company Razer said today that it has committed to one million dollars in sponsorships for professional and amateur gamers for 2006. The firm said that it will sponsor tournaments, teams, and individual players next year across the globe, including both providing equipment, travel support, and full time salaries for computer gamers. Virgin Digital Launches Online Music Service
Los Angeles-based Virgin Digital, a new digital entertainment firm which is part of the Virgin Group, said today that it is offering an comprehensive online music collection for MP3 players, mobile phones, and other music-enabled mobile gadgets. The company said that it has an extensive catalog of two million tracks from over 15,000 record labels.
