Make It Work Names CFO
Santa Barbara-based Make It Work has named a new CFO. The company said this week that Tony Rodriguez has joined the company as CFO. Rodriguez is the former VP of Finance at ValueClick, where he managed the company's SEC reporting, compliance, controls, budging, and forecasting. Rodriguez has also served at KPMG LLP. Make It Work provides home and small business computer services, and is angel funded by the Tech Coast Angels.

Amp'd Mobile Comes Out Fighting
Los Angeles-based mobile lifestyle firm Amp'd Mobile announced today that it has broadcast a nationwide event broadcasting an Ultimate Fighting Championship event last weekend. Amp'd Mobile is an official wireless sponsor of UFC. Amp'd said that the event was available to select trial users as it gears up for nationwide launch at the end of the year. Interlink Faces Delisting
Camarillo-based Interlink Electronics, which earlier this month said that it would be unable to file timely 10-Q results, said yesterday that it has receive notice from the NASDAQ that it will be delisted November 25 if it does not take action to comply with NASDAQ market rules. The troubled company had restated results from the last two years, and had previously announced that its 10-Q quarterly report would be delayed due to further issues uncovered by the restatement. JAMDAT, Activision Extend Tony Hawk Deal
Los Angeles-based wireless entertainment firm JAMDAT Mobile and Activision have reached an agreement to a new publishing agreement covering Activision's immensely popular Tony Hawk skateboarding title. The two companies said that they will work together on the next Tony Hawk title. In addition, JAMDAT will acquire the mobile publishing and distributing rights for a new western-style action title. Search Engine Use Surges
A new study released by the Pew Internet and American Life project shows that search engine use has surged in the last year, with over 60 million American adults using search engines on a given day. The report said that search engine use has risen from 30% to 41% of the internet-use population each day. Search engine usage is catching up to email use, which has about 52% of users using email on a given day.
