Coradiant Rolls Out Web Application Monitoring Tool
San Diego-based Coradiant said this week that it hsa rolled out TrueSight TS-520, a web application monitoring tool for real-time monitoring of data centers. The company said that the new system is aimed at mid-tier financial services, e-commerce, self-service portal, and other enterprise and intranet applications. SMC Gets DOCSIS Certification
Irvine-based SMC Networks has certified its wireless cable modem gateway with the CableLabs DOCSIS and CableHome certifications. The company said that its EZ Connect Wireless Cable Modem has received DOCSIS 2.0 and CableHome 1.1 certification, specifications which certify interoperability, quality of service, and network management for cable operators. Xirrus Looks For Trade-Ups
Westlake Village-based Xirrus said this week that it has begun offering a trade-up program for companies looking to upgrade their WLAN infrastructure. The developer of wireless LAN switches said that it would pay a rebate to customers who are migrating to Xirrus Wi-Fi architecture, offering $100 for every third party WLAN access point traded in as part of an upgrade. Fandango, TiVo Launch TV Movie Ticketing Service
Los Angeles-based Fandango and digital video recorder company TiVo said yesterday that the two companies are launching a television application for movie information and ticketing. Fandango has integrated its ticketing services with TiVo and its set-top box, allowing customeres to access movie information and purchase movie tickets directly from TiVo DVRs. Verizon Streams TV To Qualcomm Phones
Verizon Wireless and San Diego-based Qualcomm said yesterday that they have launched a nationwide service to stream real-time TV to Qualcomm phones. Verizon will launch MediaFLO, a multicasting network that allows CDMA2000-based phones to receive mobile TV coverage in the United States. Verizon said that it plans to offer mobile TV service to its subscribers where it holds licenses to the 700 MHz spectrum, starting in late 2006. Joyent Buys TextDrive
San Anselmo-based Joyent has acquired San Diego-based TextDrive, a hosting solution provider focused on open source, blog posting software, and other Web 2.0 applications. TextDrive provides hosting of the WordPress site, along with other blog and content management systems such as Textpattern, Ping-o-Matic, RubyOnRails, and TurboGears. Financial terms were not disclosed. Joyent provides web-based team collaboration software based on AJAX web technology.

MP3tunes Rolls Out Online Music Storage Service
San Diego-based MP3tunes has rolled out Oboe, an online music storage service that allows users to store their music collection online. The new service allows music listeners to upload and store their entire music collection online and stream music from any Mac, Windows, or Linux machine.
