Toshiba Selects RiverOne
Irvine-based RiverOne has secured a win with Toshiba America Information Systems. RiverOne said that Toshiba will use RiverOne's supply chain software for the electronics industry. TAIS will use RiverOne's products within its Digital Products Division. RiverOne provides enterprise supply chain software targeted at OEMs, EMS, and outsourced manufacturig suppliers.

Gemstar Releases Mobile TV Guide
Pasadena-based Gemstar-TV Guide has released a new mobile guide product for Palm and Windows Mobile devices. The company said that it has teamed with Handmark, a developer of mobile media, to develop the guide. TV Guide Mobile will proivde dynamic new television listings and content for Palm handhelds, Treo smartphones, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile PCs and smartphones on a subscription basis. Ambrx, Roche In Technology Deal
Roche and San Diego-based Ambrx today announced that the two companies have entered into a collaboration to develop next generation proteins and peptides using Ambrx technology. Roche will fund research and development of the products, and retain worldwide commercialization rights. Ambrx will receive license fees and royalties on product sales. Oculir Raises $7.3M Series A
San Diego-based Oculir said yesterday that it has raised $7.3M in a Series A investment from Onset Ventures, CHL Medical Partners, Canaan Partners, Three Arch Partners, Shepherd VEntures, and Windamere Venture Partners. The firm is developing a commercial, non-invasive glucuse testing system for people with diabetes. The company's technology is based on measuring the white of the eye to determine glucose levels. Celladon Raises $30M
La Jolla-based Celladon has raised a $30M round of Series B funding. The company said that it will use the funding to complete testing and advance its product for heart failure. Funding came from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Domain Associates, with participation from existing investors Enterprise Partners Venture Capital and Venrock Associates.
