Coraid Supports Ethernet Disk Storage Protocol
San Clemente-based Coraid, a provider of low cost disk storage products, said Thursday that it has teamed with Rocket Divisoin Software to support Windows, ATA-over-Ethernet (AoE). AoE is a disk storage protocol targeted at low cost, Ethernet network block storage, and competes against the more reliable iSCSI protocol. VU Games Shuffles Sales Team
Los Angeles-based Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) has shuffled its sales organization, saying today that it has named Pascal Brochier as VP of Global Sales. Brochier was formerly Managing Director for VU Games Australia. Current sales head Phil O'Neil, who was President North America and COO, has left the firm. Viviendi is a publisher of interactive entertainment titles across a broad section of platforms, plus online massively multiplayer games.

Fulcrum Samples 10G Ethernet Switch Chip
Calabasas-based Fulcrum Microsystems has started sampling its 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch chips. Fulcrum said this week that its FM2224 device, a member of its FocalPoint family, is now sampling. The company claims that the chip has better performance and latency than other silicon. Fulcrum's chips are based on clockless semiconductor designs. Dynamics Direct Scores Win With Vongo
Valencia-based Dynamics Direct, a provider of email marketing software and services, is providing its services to Starz Entertainment Group and its newly launched Vongo video download service. Dynamics Direct reports that its software is being used to manage all email communications for Vongo. Dynamics Direct provides a platform for managing marketing email campaigns, subscribers, and creating marketing promotions.

Amp'd Deploys Internet Search Software
Los Angeles-based Amp'd Mobile, the youth targeted MVNO, announced this week that it is integrating Novarra's Internet and Web search software into its handsets. The integration will allow its subscribers to surf the web. Novarra's software reduces web pages for easier viewing on mobile handsets, using the WAP 2.0 protocol for faster delivery of web content.
