Gateway To Open Nashville Manufacturing Facility
Irvine-based Gateway has selected Nashville, Tennesse for a new, configure-to-order manufacturing facility, the firm said today. The company said that it expects to employ more than 300 people and have an annual payroll of about $8M for the new site. The plant will assemble configure-to-order desktops, notebooks, servers, and storage arrays. Dell also maintains a manufacturing plant in Nashville.

Stamps.com Integrates With Photoshop
Los Angeles-based Stamps.com announced today that its popular PhotoStamps service has been integrated with Adobe's Photoshop CS2, Elements, and Photoshop Album Starter Edition software packages. The company's service, which allows consumers to print their own, legal U.S. postage, is now integrated with Adobe's popular consumer editing applications. Vitesse Faces Delisting, Other Woes
Camarillo-based Vitesse announced Tuesday that the company's stock is subject to delisting from the Nasdaq. The company, which is listed as VTSS on the market, said that it has received a Nasdaq Staff Determination and is subject to delisting. The firm also said this morning that it has fired CEO Louis R. Tomasetta, CFO Yatin Mody, and EVP Eugene F. Hovanec. The firm's new CEO is Christopher R. Gardner, and CFO is Shawn C. A. Hassel. DivX Signs Panasonic
San Diego-based DivX has scored a win for its digital media format at Panasonic, saying today that Panasonic will incorporate its codec into two of the firm's DVD recorders. Panasonic Consumer Electronics will use the DivX video codec in its DMR-EH55S and DMR-EH75VS DVD recorders, allowing consumers to play back DivX encoded video. The win is the latest win for DivX, which is in the midst of an IPO to raise up to $118M.

Verari Adds 4GB Arrays
San Diego-based Verari Systems has announced new, 4GB Fibre Channel storage arrays, saying this week that its new products provide up to 8TB of capacity in a 3U form factor, aimed at the midrange computing market. Verari, which develops blade computing systems, said that its new VS4000 storage arrays provide 16 drive bays, up to 4GB of cache, and are focused on mid-range and HPCC applications. The systems support both SATA and Fiber Channel drives. Verari said the product will ship in June.

LeisureLink Appoints CEO
Pasadena-based LeisureLink, a venture-funded startup that operates an electronic marketplace for vacation rental and timeshares, has appointed a new President and CEO. The firm said yesterday that it has named Erik Hovanec to the position. founder and former CEO Kelly Tompkins continues as Chief Strategy Officer of the company. DispenseSource Adds VP Sales
Irvine, California-based DispenseSource has named a new vice president of sales, the firm said today. Michael D. Blough has been named EVP Sales, and will head the company's global sales force. Blough was most recently at SAP America in the automotive and industrial sales group. DispenseSource develops inventory management hardware for the industrial market.

Sequenom Hires R&D Head
San Diego-based Sequenom, which is developing genetic analysis products, has hired a new Senior Vice President for Research and Development. The firm said it hired Betty Dragon, Ph.D. to the position. Dr. Dragon joins from Roche Molecular Systems. She was most recently Senior Vice President of Global Standardization and Vice President of Diagnostics Development at Roche.
