Sonos Quietly Raises Venture Round
Santa Barbara-based Sonos, a developer of wireless sound systems, quietly raised a round of venture funding last year, socalTECH has learned. Sonos has been getting rave reviews from the electronics press and others for its digital music system, which allows consumers to set up a whole-house digital music system. StratEdge Promotes VP
San Diego-based StratEdge, a provider of semiconductor packages for the microwave, millimeter wave, and high speed digital devices, said that it has promoted Casey Krawiec to VP of North American Sales. Krawiec has also served at Kyocera America, and at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Louisville, KY. StratEdge designs semiconductor packages for high speed digital, wireless, satellite, and other industries.

Q4bis Taps Key Info Systems
Irvine-based Q4bis, a developer of business intelligence software, said that it has signed up Woodland Hills-based systems integrator Key Information Systems. Q4bis said Friday that the dea will open doors for its product in large enterprises. Q4bis builds business intelligence software based on Microsoft's SQL Server 2005.

Semtech, Digi-Key In Distribution Agreement
Camarillo-based Semtech has inked a new distribution agreement with Digi-Key, a major electronics distributor, saying last week that Digi-Key will carry its line of analog and mixed signal semiconductors. Digi-Key's power management, protection, and embedded wireless modules will be available through both Digi-Key's print and online catalogs.
