SpecificMEDIA Finds $10M
Irvine-based SpecificMEDIA has raised a Series A funding from Enterprise Partners. The funding also included Shepherd Ventures. SpecificMEDIA said that it will use the funding for marketing and sales efforts. SpecificMEDIA said that it was represented by Montgomery & Co in the transaction. SpecificMEDIA provides advertising targeting technology for Web sites.

SOA Software Raises $11M
Los Angeles-based SOA Software has raised $11M in a new round of funding. The new round came from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and included existing investors Redpoint Ventures, Mellon Ventures, Paladin Capital, and Palisades Ventures. SOA Software develops SOA and Web Services software. The company said it will use the funding to expands its technological foundation.

Powerwave Buys Wireless Infrastructure Business
Santa Ana-based Powerwave Technologies, a provider of wireless antennas, boosters, and other components for the wireless market, has purchased Filtronic plc's Wireless Infrastructure Division in a deal worth 20.7M shares of stock and $150M in cash, worth approximately $336M total. Powerwave said yesterday that it would buy Filtronic's business in transmit/receive filters, integrated remote radio heads and power amplifier products, used for commercial wireless infrastructure.

Qualcomm Goes To ITC Against Nokia
San Diego-based Qualcomm has extended its patent battle against Nokia, saying that it has filed a complaint with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) alleging that Nokia Corp and Nokia Inc have engaged in unfair trade practices. Qualcomm is looking for an investigatoin into Nokia's imports, and is also seeking an Exclusion Order to bar import of NOkia handsets into the U.S. The new move follows Qualcomm's patent suit against Nokia, which it filed in November of 2005. MySpace Links Into Jobs
Los Angeles-based MySpace is moving into the job search market, saying Monday that it has launched MySpace Jobs, a new search engine for jobs. MySpace said that it is partnering with Simply Hired, a provider of a job search engine, for the feature. MySpace said that it will offer more than 5 million listings from the Simply Hired search engine on its web site, the latest deal that links the popular online networking site with other services. NTS Buys Integrator
Calabasas-based National Technical Systems, a provider of engineering services, has acquired B&B Technologies, a systems integration firm headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. BBT provides test, measurement, automation, data acquisition, and other systems. Financial terms were not disclosed. NTS said that BBT includes Sandia National Labs, Honeywell, and General Dynamics as customers. NTS focuses on aerospace, defense, and the IT industry.

Peregrine Semi Adds COO
San Diego-based Peregrine Semiconductor has hired a new President and COO. Peregrine said that it has added Craig H. Ensley to the executive team. Ensley was most recently at Cirrus Logic. Ensley has also served at Crystal Semiconductor and Rockwell International. Peregrine is developing mixed-signal semiconductor process technology, based on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology. The firm's processes are targeted at RF performance, and low cost and integration semiconductors.
