BridgeCo Raises $23M
Los Angeles-based BridgeCo has raised a Series D funding, bringing in a total of $23M from Advent Venture Partners and Wellington Partners, along with existing investors. The firm is developing digital home networking silicon used for connecting consumer electronics and computers. Sequoia Communications Finds $25M
San Diego-based Sequoia Communications has raised a $25M round of funding, the firm said Tuesday. The Series E round of funding was led by BlueRun Ventures, the venture capital arm of Nokia Corp., and also included participation by Tallwood Venture Capital and Motorola. Sequoia Communications is developing RF semiconductors that are multi-modal, and can support HSDPA/WEDGE and other radio protocols on a single chip. mSnap Closes Series A
San Diego-based mSnap, which provides text messaging and mobile marketing solutions for broadcasters, has raised a Series A venture round. The venture funding came from Partech International. mSnap said that the funding will be used to accelerate the companhy's development process, and to expand overall marketing and business development. The firm received seed funding from First Round Capital in December of 2005. mSnap develops programming tools to provide radio broadcasters with text messaging (More info...)

Paciolan Acquires College Athletics Software
Irvine-based Paciolan said earlier this week that it has acquired fundraising software solution from Lutz Software Solutions. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed. Lutz operates Advantage and DonorNet, web-based software that is used by college athletics organizations to manage relationships with season ticket holders and others. The Lutz software will be renamed Fundraiser’s Advantage and Fundraiser’s DonorNet. The purchase adds the Lutz products to its suite of fundraising solutions. P (More info...)

LowerMyBills.com Wins Lawsuit Against Firm
Santa Monica-based LowerMyBills.com said Tuesday that it has secured a court judgement against SPENDonLIFE, in the firm's copyright infringement lawsuit against the company. LowerMyBills.com filed a lawsuit against One Technologies LP, the firm that runs SPENDonLIFE.com, for copying multiple LowerMyBills.com online banner advertisements. Zag Buys Auto Buying Service
Santa Monica-based Zag has acquired another automotive business, this time purchasing Automotive Invitational Services (AIS), an auto-buying program operator that serves the American Automobile Association (AAA). The company, which is developing an automobile technology and service to change the way consumers purchase cars, said that the move will allow it to provide AAA members with a better car buying experience.
