Interview with Tom Unterman, Rustic Canyon Ventures
My interview this morning is with Tom Unterman, Managing Partner of Rustic Canyon Ventures (www.rusticcanyon.com). Estyle Raises $6M
Los Angeles-based Estyle, which operates the online, catalog, and retail Babystyle.com stores, has raised $6M in an insider round. The firm is backed by GRP Partners, Oak Investment Partners, and others. According to one of the firm's venture capital backers, the investment was a Series A follow on investment, and closed May 8th.

X1 Connects Into Exchange, SharePoint
Pasadena-based X1 Technologies is moving further into the enterprise space, with the announcement doay that the company has new Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SharePoint connectors. The new components allow X1 Enterprise users to search and interact with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office documents. Fonality Rolls Out Call Manager
Los Angeles-based Fonality, a developer of IP PBX phone systems based on the open Source IP PBX software Asterisk, has rolled out a new call and presence management application for the Asterisk Open Source PBX platform. The company said today that its new HUDlite application allows businesses to control calls and manage presence for a business. Infosearch Adds Video To Answers
Marina Del Rey-based Infosearch Media is launching a new, video based answer feature at its Answerbag social answers service today. The firm, which provides a Yahoo Answers-style question and answer site, said that users can now add video to their answers to questions on the web site. AnswerBag allows a community of users to ask and answer any question, and competes against Yahoo Answers. ValueClick Signs Automotive Advertising Firm
Westlake Village-based ValueClick has signed a deal with Jumpstart Automotive Media, an advertising network focused on the automotive industry, the firms said today. Jumpstart will represent ValueClick's online display advertising and lead generation inventory to the automotive industry. Jumpstart provides behavioral advertising for automotive manufacturers. RE3W Ties Into Microsoft
Santa Ana-based RE3W, a developer of real estate software for real estate professionals, has tied into Microsoft Virtual Earth. The firm announced today that the company's application was selected by Microsoft to be showcased for its functionality using Virtual Earth.
