NTS Buys EMI Testing Lab
Calabasas-based National Technical Systems, a provider of quality and conformance testing services, has acquired the assets of Dynamic Labs, a Phoenix and Austin-based EMI and environmental testing lab. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed. NTS said that it will relocate the Dynamic Labs location in Phoenix to its Tempe laboratory, and the Dynamic Labs location in Austin to Plano. Firms Show Caltrain WiFi Service
San Diego-based Sensoria Corp, a provider of mobile mesh networking software and equipment, Nomad Digital, Intel, and Redline Communications said that the firms have successfully completed a "proof of concept" for providing WiFi to Caltrain commuter rail service. The firms have created a high-speed, Internet access network between Millbrae and Palo Alto stations. United Online Reports Results
Woodland Hills-based United Online reported its results for the second quarter, saying that it earned $22.3M on revenues of $134.9M. The company said that its revenues increased 3% versus its earnings a year ago. United Online said that content and media services drove its second-quarter results. The firm's content and media service include social networking, online loyalty marketing, web hosting, and photo sharing services. ValueClick Names CEO Europe
Westlake Village-based ValueClick has promoted Carl White, its existing COO in Europe, to the position of chief executive officer of ValueClick Europe. White has been at ValueClick since 2001, and has also served at BBC Worldwide. White will oversee ValueClick's offices in London, Munich, Paris, and Stockholm. ValueClick is a provider of online advertising and other services.
