Clean Energy Fuels Files For IPO
Seal Beach-based Clean Energy Fuels, a provider of natural gas for vehicle fleets, has filed for an IPO. The firm said in a filing Wednesday morning that the firm is looking to raise up to $287.5M in an IPO on the Nasdaq under the symbol CLNE. The IPO is being underwritten by WR Hambrecht + Co. and Simmons & Company International. Boone Pickens is listed as one of the founders of the company.

Stamps Adds New Photo Stamp Tool
Los Angeles-based Stamps.com, which provides Internet-based postage printing, has launched a new tool, Photo NetStamps. The new tool allows customers to create customized postage and order sheets of pre-printed labels for printing postage from Stamps' PC Postage software. The new service combines the company's popular PhotoStamps service, which allows anyone to upload any photo to create custom postage; and its NetStamps software, used by businesses to print postage. MindTouch Connects Outlook To Wikis
San Diego-based MindTouch, a developer of Wiki publishing products, announced today that it is launching a new tool that allows companies to publish messages and attachments in Microsoft Outlook onto wiki pages. The company's new MindTouch Connector for Microsoft Outlook allows companies to easily publish emails to MindTouch's wiki appliance. Spirent Taps MRV Equipment For Demonstration Test Lab
Chatsworth-based MRV Communications said today that it has partnered with Spirent Communications to incorporate its MRV Media Cross Connect and LX 4000T console server equipment into its automation lab. Spirent will use MRV's products in its Test Automation Lab, Spirent's new proof-of-concept lab which showcases automated testing techniques for network equipment providers. Telmar Completes Somera Buy
Irvine-based Telmar Network Technology has completed its acquisition of Texas-based Somera Communications, the firm announced today. Both companies provide used equipment and services for the telecommunications industry. The deal was worth $4.60 per share of Somera, making the total deal size worth approximately $23.3M. Somera was a provider of reconditioned telecommunications hardware, and was formerly headquartered in Santa Barbara.

LogicBlaze Adds Eclipse IDE
Marina Del Rey-based open source software provider LogicBlaze has rolled out a new, Eclipse-based integrated development environment. RF Magic Ties Into Set Top Boxes
San Diego-based RF Magic and Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB), a provider of set top boxes, said today that the two firms have partnered to create new solutions for the set-top-box market. RF Magic's silicon tuners have been integrated into ADB's set-top box motherboards. RF Magic is developing highly integrated RF systems on a chip, and is backed by Anthem Ventures, Comcast Interactive Capital, Conexant, EchoStar, and others.
