eHarmony Names CEO
Pasadena-based eHarmony said today that Gregory Waldorf has been appointed CEO of the company. Waldorf has been serving as acting CEO since March, and also served on the company's board of directors. According to the firm, Waldorf was selected after an executive search found Waldorf was the best candidate for the position. eHarmony is an online dating service backed by Technology Crossover Ventures, Fayez Sarofim & Co., and Sequoia Capital.

Emulex Enhances VMware Support
Costa Mesa-based host bus adapter manufacturer Emulex Corp. announced yetserday that it has delivered new technology that allows its HBA products to work better with the popular VMware virtualization software. Emulex said it has delivered LightPulse Virtual Host Adapter technology for VMware environments, which allows the firm's HBAs to work better under VMware operating systems and data storage networks. Vangard Partners With Nuance
Rancho Santa Margarita-based Vangard Voice Systems and Nuance Communications said Tuesday that the two are in an OEM agreement. Vangard will market two of Nuance's voice recognition products as part of Vangard's AccuSPEECH SDK product. Vangard's products are used for developing speech-enabled software applications, in particular for electronic form and data entry applications.

CEIVA Bundles Adobe Photoshop
Los Angeles-based CEIVA Logic, a manufacturer of digital photo frames, said this morning that it has begun bundling Adobe Photoshop Album Start Edition with its products. The basic version of Adobe's products will be available for download for CEIVA customers. CEIVA said that the software will include the ability to send photos directly to its digital photo frames. Lantronix Names CFO
Irvine-based Lantronix said today that it has named a new Chief Financial Officer. Reagan Y. Sakai has joined the company as CFO, having most recently served as CFO for HyPerformix. Sakai has also served at VIEO, Crossroads Systems, Exabyte, and other firms. The firm said that current CFO Jim Kerrigan is retiring. Lantronix is a provider of network management and data center management products.
