iSuppli Merges With Data Garage
El Segundo-based iSuppli, a firm that provides analysis and market intelligence of the electronics industry, and Japanese firm Data Garage said yesterday that the firms have merged. Financial terms were not disclosed. iSuppli provides information about electronics components. Data Garage is a provider of market intelligence for the semiconductor industry.

Ixia To Restate Earnings
Calabasas-based Ixia announced Monday that it will restate its financial statements for the years ending December 31, 2003, 2004, and 2005. The firm, in a filing with the SEC, said that the firm's annual reports for December 31, 2005, should no longer be relied upon because of previously unidentified material weakness in internal control over financial reporting. LegalZoom.com, Web.com In Partnership
Los Angeles-based LegalZoom.com, a provider of online legal documentation services, and Web.com, a online provider of web services, said today that the two companies are in a partnership to cross market their services. Financial terms were not disclosed. Web.com will offer LegalZoom's legal document preparation services to its customers. Tripmates Jumps Into Video
Los Angeles-based Tripmates, an online social networking web site focused on travel, said this morning that it has added user-generated videos to its web site. Tripmates will allow users to share and upload their travel videos as part of a "Trip Flicks" features of its site. Tripmates offers a web site that allows users to share information, photos, and reviews about destinations.

Boodle Gets Win At iWon
San Diego-based Boodle announced today that iWon, part of IAC/InterActiveCorp, will offer its printable grocery coupons on its site. iWon is a loyalty and reward-based web portal. Boodle is a provider of online, printable consumer coupons targeting its services at web sites and newspapers.

Fulcrum Signs Quadrics For HPC Switching
Calabasas-based Fulcrum Microsystems, a provider of high speed Ethernet switching products, said today that Quadrics, a provider of massively parallel computing interconnects, will use its Ethernet switch chip. Quadrics will use Fulcrum's FocalPoint FM2224 chip as the basis of a new family of 10-Gigabit Ethernet products. Quadrics' new product is targeted at the high performance computing (HPC) market, used to provide low-latency communications between clustered computers.

Linspire Adds Free Desktop Linux Services
San Diego-based Linspire has rolled out new services for its desktop Linux customers, saying today that it will offer a new IMAP email and net file storage service called FreeLinuxEmail. The new service leverages Linspire's user base and brand and allows users to create their own online, web- or email-client based email accounts. Steelcape Deploys Security Software
Los Angeles-based Steelcape, a provider of network security software, said today that it has deployed the firm's software at SEALS Healthcare, a local healthcare products provider in Costa Mesa. The size of the deal was not disclosed. Steelcape said that its security gateway will allow SEALS to provide fast and secure online transactions for its online web site. Steelcape is a provider of software-based security gateways focused on firewall traversal.

EMN8 Appoints New CEO
San Diego-based EMN8 said Monday that it the firm has appointed a new CEO and President. The venture-backed firm said that it has hired Stephen M. Donly to the position. Donly will also join the firm's board of directors. EMN8 is developing software and hardware for self-service food service, and is backed by GRP, Steamboat Ventures, and others.
