Report: News Corp Sells Intermix Properties To Demand Media
Variety reported Monday that News Corp. has sold the non-Myspace portion of its Intermix Media acquisition to Demand Media, the web startup headed by former Intermix CEO Richard Rosenblatt. Terms were not disclosed. Officials at Fox, quoted by Variety, said that the assets were not vital to the firm's long-term plan. Rosenblatt's Demand Media has raised over $220M from 3i Ventures, Generation Partners, Oak Investment Partners, and Spectrum Equity Investors and has been acquiring both domain name (More info...)

TV Guide, Fox In Program Listing Deal
Los Angeles-based Gemstar-TV Guide International is in a new TV listings syndication deal with Fox Interactive Media, the firm announced yesterday. Gemstar will provide its program listing grids to FoxSports and IGN entertainment, two Fox Interactive Media properties. Ticketmaster Unveils Gift Cards
West Hollywood-based Ticketmaster, a provider of online ticketing services, said Monday that it has launched a new gift card program. The firm said that buyers can now purchase gift cards which can be redeemed for tickets to upcoming events. The gift cards will be good through the firm's online services, phone, and at select venue box offices. The firm said it is targeting both consumers and corporate buyers with the new gift card program.

San Diego Union-Tribune Taps Oodle For Classifieds
The San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that it is tapping Oodle, a search engine firm providing local classifieds, for its online web site. The paper said that it will use Oodle to provide classified listings for its site. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Oodle operates a search engine for local classified ad listings.

Conexant Gets Set Top Design Win
Newport Beach-based Conexant has scored a design win for its high defition set-top-box chips, saying this week that Humax, a manufacturer of digital set top boxes will use its CX2417X/CX2418X set top box solution. The chips will be incorporated into a new receiver for ComHem, a Swedish voice/video/data operator. Conexant's chipsets provide interfaces for HD television, MPEG decoders, Dolby Digital decoding, and digital broadcast standards. EMN8 Names VP
San Diego-based EMN8, a developer of self-service restaurant kiosks, said Monday that it has named a new VP. Pamela O'Neill has joined the firm as Vice President of Sales and Business Development. O'Neill was most recently at ADP, where she served as VP and division VP for ADP Dealer Services. O'Neill has also served at Ultra Services and Audiphone Washington Company.

Kingston Adds 4GB DDR2 Memory
Fountain Valley-based Kingston Technology is now shipping 4-GB DDR2 DIMM memory, targeting AMD Opteron systems. The firm said that the new memory are designed for AMD Opteron-based servers, and is shipping with TYAN motherboards. The new memory runs at 533 Mhz and 667 Mhz in DDR2 registered ECC DIMM modules. The 667 MHz modules are shipping now with the 533 Mhz modules shipping in December.
