Stamps.com Files Patent Lawsuits
Los Angeles-based Stamps.com has sued two firms over patents covering its Internet postage technology, the firm disclosed in a regulatory filing Monday. Stamps.com said that is has filed a lawsuit against Endicia, Inc. and PSI Systems, Inc. in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. The firm alleges infringement of eleven Stamps.com patents covering its technology. The suits were filed last week. Endicia is a Palo Alto-based maker of desktop mailing software; PSI (More info...)

LSI Logic Completes StoreAge Acquisition
LSI Logic announced today that it has completed its acquisition of Irvine-based StoreAge Networking Technologies, a provider of SAN storage management and data protection software. The previously announced deal was worth $50M in cash. StoreAge develops storage software used by companies for virtualization, storage replication, snapshot, and data management. The firm's research and development offices are located in Nesher, Israel.

AOL, Juice Wireless Launch Mobile App In UK
AOL said today that it is in a deal with Los Angeles-based Juice Wireless, to launch a trial of the Juice Wireless JuiceCaster application to its users in the UK. JuiceCaster is a mobile social media application that connects users cell phones to online photo and video sharing sites. The firms said they plan to launch the service in the UK in early 2007, allowing AOL users to upload photos and videos to AOL AIM Pages and AOL Journals. Evolution Robotics, Bandai Partner On Consumer Robotics
Bandai, a toy manufacturer, and Pasadena-based Evolution Robotics yesterday released a new robot based on Evolution's robotics technology, the firms said. Bandai's new NetTansor mobile robot is targeted at families and hobbyists, and allows people to control the robot remotely from the Internet. The robot uses Evolution Robotics' ViPR vision system technology, for recognizing objects and images. Terms of the technology deal were not disclosed. Digital Insight Extends Relationship With Banking Provider
Calabasas-based Digital Insight, a provider of online banking services, said today that it has extended its strategic relationship with Computer Services, Inc. Computer Services provides services, software, and banking solutions for community banks. Digital Insight said Computer Services will continue to recommend Digital Insight's Internet banking solutions to its customers.

SEMDirector, WebSideStory Partner On Search Marketing
San Diego-based SEMDirector, a provider of search marketing automation software, and San Diego-based WebSideStory, a web analytics provider, said today that the two are in a partnership where WebSideStory will integrate SEMDirector's search marketing automation products with its HBX Analytics offering.
