Snap Extends Preview Feature To WordPress
Pasadena-based Perfect Market Technologies, which operates the Snap.com search engine, said Thursday that its site preview feature is now available to bloggers using WordPress.com. Snap's site preview feature pulls up a screenshot of web sites which are linked to within the text of a blog or web site, allowing users to get a preview of the site before clicking through. CallWave Rolls Out Voicemail to Email Service
Santa Barbara-based CallWave has rolled out a new feature of the firm's calling services, saying Thursday that it has rolled out a new, PC-based "visual voicemail" service. The firm's new CallWave Mobile services takes mobile phone voicemail messages and delivers them to email. The new service also includes ability to sort and prioritize messages and track contacts. The firm said that the new service is available now for free to users.

Intuit, Digital Insight Announce Hart-Scott-Rodino Expiration
Mountain View-based Intuit and Calabasas-based Digital Insight announced Thursday that the firms have passed the 30-day waiting period required under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, over the proposed acquisition of Digital Insight by Intuit. The firms said Digital Insight stockholders will vote on the proposed merger on February 6. Intuit agreed to acquired Digital Insight in November for $1.35B in cash.

ClearSync Adds Linux, Mac Support To Electronic Calendar
Monrovia-based Tanner Research has released a new version of the firm's electronic calendar software, ClearSync, saying this week that it has added automatic synchronization support to the product. The firm said that its ClearSync 2 software now supports automatic synchronization between Mascintosh and Linux computers, in addition to the firm's support of Windows and PalmOS handhelds. Tanner's ClearSync product provides multiple calendar and contact list sharing between multiple platforms.

GoToMyPC Supports Sound
Santa Barbara-based Citrix Online has enhanced the firm's popular GoToMyPC remote access software, and added sound capability to the service. Citrix said this week that its remote access product now allows users to listen to anything on their remote PC through their service. Citrix has also enhanced the services ability to print documents, and added document synchronization services between a host PC and a local device.

TRENDnet Ships Conference Phone For Skype
Torrance-based TRENDnet, a manufacturer of networking products, said this week that it is shipping a Voice-over-IP Conference Phone for eBay's popular voice over IP service Skype. TRENDnet's ClearSky Bluetooth VoIP Conference Phone includes an integrated LCD screen and integration with Skype contacts, call history, and status. The conference phone is the latest addition to a line of VoIP and Skype focused hardware for TRENDnet.

Linspire Ports DVR Platform
San Diego-based Linspire, a provider of commercial desktop Linux operating system software, said Thursday that Inglewood-based SageTV, a provider of personal video recoders and home media center technology, has ported its SageTV Media Center software to the Linspire operating system. The software provides digital television recording for Linux users. SageTV Version 6 will be available via Linspire's digital download service.
