Sangart Scores $50M
San Diego-based Sangart, a biopharmaceutical company focused on research, development and commercialization of oxygen transport agents, said today it has raised $50M in a Series F financing. The round was led by Leucadia National Corporation, and also included warrants that if exercised could provide an additional $50M in future funding. GenVault Scores $18M
Carlsbad-based GenVault, a provider of room temperature biosample management, said today that it has raised an additional $18M in venture financing. The funding came from QuestMark Partners, along with Domain Associates. Benjamin S. Schapiro of QuestMark will join the firm's board as part of the funding. GenVault said it will use the new funds to accelerate commercialization of its technology.

Protemix Raises $14.5M
San Diego-baed Protemix, a biopharmaceutical firm developing an oral treatment for diabetic heart failure, said today that it has closed on $14.5M in Series A financing. The funding was co-led by Novartis Venture Fund and NovaQuest, and also included prior investor Birnie Capital Ltd. The firm will use the funding to advance clinical development of the firm's lead product, and for other early stage programs in the firm's pipeline.

RealtyTrac Provides Content To Yahoo! Real Estate
Irvine-based RealtyTrac, a provider of online information about foreclosure properties, said today that it has launched a new foreclosure resource center as part of Yahoo! Real Estate. RealtyTrac said that the new Yahoo! Real Estate Foreclosure Center will offer the ability to search for foreclosures, analysis of trends, and education about buying properties in foreclosure. RealtyTrac maintains a national database of foreclosure and b ank owned properties.

Nexsan Adds WAN Replication Capability
Woodland Hills-based storage systems provider Nexsan Technologies announced today that it is in a partnership with RELDATA to provide a unified, IP SAN/NAS storage solution with WAN data replication capabilities. The two have combined RELDATA's IP Storage Gateway product with Nexsan's SATABeast storage arrays, and is targeted to the enterprise. According to the firms, the combined solution will be available through both companies.

GoTV Networks Teams With Nokia
Sherman Oaks-based GoTV Networks, a venture-backed firm developing content for mobile platforms, said today that it has become a member of nokia's Forum Nokia PRO. Forum Nokia PRO is a developer support program for providers of software for Nokia's mobile platforms. GoTV Networks said the membership will give the company opportunity to strengthen its relationship with Nokia, gain early access to Nokia technology, and take advantage of service and support provided by Nokia.

Digital Insight Signs Liberty Bank
Calabasas-based Digital Insight, a subsidiary of Intuit, said today that Connecticut-based Liberty Bank has selected the firm's Internet Banking products in a multi-year agreement. Digital Insight will provide its Internet Banking products to more than 170,000 customers in Connecticut. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Digital Insight was acquired by Intuit in February.
