MaMoCa Raises $750K
Irvine-based MaMoCa, a firm developing motion capture technology for the video game, TV, and movie animation industries, has quietly raised around $750K in an angel round from the Tech Coast Angels, socalTECH has learned. MaMoCa is developing a system that accurately captures movement without requiring the use of traditional "markers", used by animators to accurately capture human and other movements. DevZuz Raises $9.25M From Mission, Redpoint
Marina Del Rey-based open source firm DevZuz has scored $9.25M in venture capital funding from Mission Ventures and Redpoint, the firm said Monday morning. The new firm was formerly Simula Labs, which was previously focused on venture funding of open source projects. DevZuz said it is selling its interest, including technology, intellectual property and customers, in LogicBlaze, Inc. to IONA Technologies as part of the funding and transition. ReVision Optics Sees $25M
Lake Forest-based Revision Optics has raised $25M in a new round of funding, the firm said today. The round, which was led by Domain Associates, also included Canaan Partners and InterWest Partners as investors. Brian Dovey of Domain will join the firm's board as part of the funding. Revision Optics is developing implantable medical products for vision correction, focused on presbyopia.

RoyaltyShare Scores $5M
San Diego-based RoyaltyShare, a provider of royalty tracking services for the online music market, said today that it has raised $5M in a Series B venture capital round. The firm said that the funding was led by Trident Capital, and that it may raise additional funding as part of the round. CircleUp Launches Beta
Newport Beach-based CircleUp said today that it has debuted a public beta of the firm's social communications services. CircleUp's services allows people to gather responses from groups, ask questions, and manage group related communications. Strix In New England Wireless Mesh Deal
Calabasas-based Strix Systems said today that its wireless mesh networking products have been selected by Galaxy Internet Services, for a city-wide deal to provide Wi-Fi connectivity in Newtom Massachusetts. The deal calls for Strix to provide its wireless products as part of a city-wide WiFi network to deliver Internet access to the city's 80,000 residents. D-Link Signs Distributor
Fountain Valley-based D-Link, a manufacturer of networking products for the SMB and enterprise IT market, said today that it has signed Power & Tel, a Tennesee-based distributor for the telecommunications and cable market, as a distributor. Power & Tel will offer D-Link's products through its global distribution network.
