MyNuMo Gets Investment
Placentia, California-based MyNuMo is reporting this morning that it has received an investment from VidShadow, a Internet video sharing network. According to MyNuMo, VidShadow acquired a minority interest in the firm. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. MyNuMo operates an online community focused on letting users share and sell mobile content; VidShadow operates an online video sharing and user generated video site.

Deltek Buys AIM
Herndon, VA-based Deltek, a provider of enterprise applications software, said Wednesday that it has acquired Irvine-based Applied Integration Management (AIM), a provider of consulting services for earned value management systems. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. AIM provides consulting services to the government and others for implementing project management systems.

Sendio Adds Former Microsoft CIO To Board
Irvine-based Sendio, a firm developing anti-spam and email software, said today that it has named Rick Devenuti to its board of directors. Devenuti was formerly a Microsoft Senior Vice President and CIO of the software giant. Devenuti retired from Microsoft in February. Sendio is a venture-backed firm developing software that uses sender-authentication techniques to block spam email.

Tom's Hardware Guide, iRobot Launch Robot Competition
Los Angeles-based Tom's Hardware Guide, an online technology publication, and iRobot Corp., the maker of the popular Roomba cleaning robot and other products, have teamed up to launch a competition for robot hobbyists and developers. The two said they are awarding $5000 in a competition for designers who use iRobot's new Create programmable robot platform. Breach Joins Web Security Project
Breach Security, a Carlsbad-based firm that develops web application security software, said this week that it has joined the Web Application Security Consortium's new Distributed Open Proxy Honeypot Project. The project uses "honeypots," an Internet security technique that uses servers which are deliberately left open for attack by hackers and viruses. Stamps.com Adds Presorted PhotoStamps
Los Angeles-based Stamps.com is targeting business customers with a new option on its popular custom PhotoStamps services. Stamps.com announced today that it will allow qualified businesses to use discounted First-Class Mail rates on their stamps. PhotoStamps allow the creation of usable U.S.P.S. stamps based on a photo or logo. Stamps.com is a provider of Internet postage services.

Siafu Rolls Storage Appliance For VMware
Poway-based Siafu Software, a developer of storage products for the IP SAN market, said this week that it has announced a SAN storage appliance specifically targeted at the VMware market. Siafu said that its Siafu Swarm Series appliances are now available for VMware Infrastructure 3 environments. Siafu's storage products are based on the iSCSI storage standard, which uses Ethernet for storage networking data traffic. The new products are available now starting at $8,995.
