Siderean Software Gets $2.5M In Debt
Los Angeles-based Siderean Software, which develops software used for navigating digital information, has raised $2.5M in debt, according to BlueCrest Capital Finance, L.P. BlueCrest announced announced the debt financing Wednesday. Siderean Software's search and retrieval application, Seamark Navigator, is used by enterprises for accessing both structured and unstructured data across multiple database and information sources. Buzznet Scores $6M
Hollywood-based Buzznet, a social media site that allows users to contribute and share photos, videos, and other media focused on music, said today that it has raised $6M in venture financing from Redpoint Ventures and Anthem Venture Partners. Buzznet offers an online community that allows users to create their own communities around bands and artists. Low.com Adds FICO Services
Low.com, the online consumer finance site operated by Oversee.net, said today that the company has added new products focused on consumer FICO scores. The new products, Choice and Choice Plus, allows lenders to select leads based on a consumer's FICO credit score. The new services also gives lenders verified social security information alongside a lead. Low.com offers online mortgage rate quoting, refinancing, and other services to consumers, and connects them with mortgage lenders.

Whyville.com Targets Nutrition
Pasadena-based Whyville.com, an online virtual world focused on 8-15 year old kids, said today that it has been running a "virtual nutrition" project to help kids learn about nutrition. The site said that it has been partnered with the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio to help teach kids about diet.
