Oversee.net Completes SnapNames Acquisition
Los Angeles-based Oversee.net said today that it has completed its acquisition of SnapNames, a Portland Oregon-based domain name business focused on the purchase and sales of expired and deleting domain names. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The company will continue as a stand-alone unit of Oversee. Veoh Raises $26M
San Diego-based online video sharing and distribution site Veoh has raised $26M in a Series C funding, according to a regulatory filing. According to PEHub, the site raised the new round of funding from Goldman Sachs, along with existing investors Spark Capital and Shelter Capital Partners. Veoh last raised a round of capital in April of last year, when it brought on $12.5M in a Series B round, which included Spark Capital, Time Warner, and Tornante Company.

Shopzilla Names Marketing Exec
Los Angeles-based Shopzilla, an online comparison shopping search site, announced earlier this week that it has named Rysa Pitner as Chief Marketing Officer. Pitner joins the firm from Synapse Group, a whollyowned subsidiary of Time, Inc., where she was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Pitner has also served at AGA Catalog Marketing & Design and Parade Publications.

ID Analytics Signs Fidelity National
San Diego-based ID Analytics, a provider of online identity risk management and fraud prevention services, said this week that it has signed Fidelity National Financial as a customer. Fidelity National Financial is a title and scrow company that provides services to the real estate industry. Fidelity National will use ID Analytics' identity fraud prevention system to screen for mortgage fraud. Size of the deal was not disclosed.

Nexsan Ups Storage Capacity
Thousand Oaks-based Nexsan Technologies, a developer of disk storage arrays based on low cost Serial ATA (SATA) controllers, upped the capacity of its storage arrays this week, saying that it has tapped new one terabyte hard drives from Hitachi Global Storage Technologies for its product line. Apricorn Takes On Security
Poway-based Apricorn, a manufacturer of hard drive storage products, said earlier this week that it has released a new encrypted hard drive includes a biometric fingerprint sensor to secure access to files. The new product, the Aegis Bio, requires that users scan their fingerprints before getting access to encrypted data on the company's hard drives. Reunion.com Names Strategy VP
Los Angeles-based Reunion.com, an online service that helps people find former acquaintances and friends, said this week that it has named Dipik Rai as the firm's new Vice President of Business Analysis and Strategy. Rai joins Reunion.com from Engage.com, an online dating service. Rai has also served at Knight Ridder Digital, and served at Yahoo!.
