Internet Brands Acquires ApartmentRatings.com
Los Angeles-based Internet Brands has acquired ApartmentRatings.com, an online community focused on apartment renters, the firm said today. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. ApartmentRatings.com features reviews and ratings of about 60,000 apartments nationwide, along with tracking of rental trends, maps, and other related information. The site was founded in 2000 by Jeremy and Katie Bencken and is based in Austin, Texas.

CODA Genomics Raises $7M
Laguna Hills-based CODA Genomics, which is developing technology for protein production, said today that it has raised $7M in a Series C funding round. The funding came from OVP Venture Partners, which led the round, along with existing investors Monitor Ventures, Tech Coast Angels, and Life Science Angels. Chad Waite of OVP joins the firm's board as part of the funding. CODA Genomics said that the new funding will b e used to expand revenue growth and for developing intellectual property. Elevation Partners Acquires SDI Media Group
Los Angeles-based SDI Media Group, a provider of subtitling and language dubbing services, has been acquired by Elevation Partners, the investment group that includes U2's Bono as a partner. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Elevation is acquiring SDI Media from private equity firm Warburg Pincus, which acquired SDI in 2004. Disney To Offer Movies Through Xbox LIVE
Disney-ABC Domestic Television and Microsoft said today at the E3 Media & Business Summit that Walt Disney Studios will offer its feature films to Microsoft's Xbox LIVE service. The firms said that, starting today, titles from Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, and Miramax Films will all be available through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The deal includes both new and catalog titles from Disney. Xbox Live is Microsoft's movie download service for Xbox 360 owners.

Break.com Gets Investment From Lionsgate
Santa Monica-based Lionsgate and Beverly Hills-based online entertainment site Break.com said today that Lionsgate has made a strategic investment in Break. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. The two said that as part of the partnership, Lionsgate will look to distribute its films, television programming, and home entertainment content through Break.com's online channel; and that it will also look to tap Break.com's talent pool for potential programming development. 60Frames Raises $3.5M For Online Content
Los Angeles-based 60Frames Entertainment said today that it has raised $3.5M in funding to start a new company focused on financing, ad sales, and syndication of profesionally producted online content. Funding came from Tudor Investment Corporation and the Pilot Group. TalentFuse Purchased By IT Outsourcing Firm
San Diego-based TalentFuse, an IT recruiting and staffing company, said today that it has been acquired by SQL Star, an IT services and technology outsourcing firm. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Row 44 Selects Supplier
Los Angles-based Row 44, which is developing broadband communications systems for use in aircraft, said today that it has selected a provider of enclosures for its systems. Row 44 said it has selected AP Labs for its rugged enclosures as a component of its in-flight broadband system. The firm is developing systems targeted at in-flight connectivity, entertainment, and airline operations using Wi-Fi connectivity.
