Soliant Hires Sales VP
Pasadena-based Soliant Energy, which is developing solar concentrators for the commercial market, said Tuesday that it has hired Marc Cortez as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Cortez joins the firm from Sharp Solar Energy Solutions Group, where he was Director of Marketing, and has also served at Shell Solar. Buzznet Adds Execs
Hollywood-based Buzznet, the music-focused social networking web site, said this morning that it has added two new executives. Buzznet has added John Glascott as Executive Vice President of Sales, and Elizabeth Osder as Senior Vice President of Audience. Glascott was most recently at RealAge, and has also served at Hearst, iVillage, and Yahoo!. Osder was most recently at Yahoo! working on its Yahoo News product; she has also served at The New York Times, NPR, News Corp, Financial Times and Time (More info...)

Breach Expands Security Appliance Products
Carlsbad-based Breach Security has added a new firewall appliance to the company's line of security products. The firm announced this morning that it has launched the ModSecurity Pro M1100, targeted at providing protection for web applications. Among the features the new product provides is protection for multiple web servers, a web-based management interface, and high availability. Iomega Revs Network Hard Drive Line
San Diego-based Iomega said Tuesday that it has unveiled a new set of products for the firm's StorCenter Network Hard Drive line. The provider of data storage products and services said that it has three new network storage models, with a capacity of 500GB to 1TB. The new storage products target the SMB market, and support both Windows and Mac computers. Iomega said that the drives are available for $269 for the 500GB version, $359 for the 750GB version, and $389 for the 1TB drive.
