Accruent, Business Objects Partner
Santa Monica-based Accruent and Business Objects, a provider of business intelligence software, said late last night that the two companies have expanded their partnership. Accruent will embed Business Objects' business intelligence software into its Accruent RPM software. Accruent's software is used for managing real estate properties, including managing real estate contracts, ERP, procurement, and other functions. AVST Bundles Telephony Software, Hardware
Foothill Ranch-based Applied Voice & Speech Technologies said Wednesday that it has unveiled a line of pre-packaged products for the small and medium business marketplace. The new products, the CallXpress Speed Bundles, include certified hardware along with its software. AVST provides software used for providing PBX and unified mailbox services. The firm's products include voice messages, fax, and speech applications.

Zaadz Acquired By Gaiam
Los Angeles-based Zaadz has been acquired by Colorado-based Gaiam, the firms said last week. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Zaadz, an online web site focused on self-empowerment, was founded by Brian Johnson, former founder of amateur sports team site eteamz.com. Gaiam announced the acquisition as part of the launch of a new web site focused on health, sustainability, and conscious enlightenment.

Occam Signs Hopi Telecommunications
Santa Barbara-based Occam Networks announced Wednesday that it has been selected by Hopi Telecommunications, the telecommunications telco serving the Hopi Nation. Financial size of the deal was not disclosed. Hopi will use Occam's Broadband Loop Carrier products for an overhaul of its headquarters in Lubbuck, Texas. Occam is a developer of triple play broadband hardware products, which are used by telecommunications firm to deliver broadband, IPTV, and voice services.
