LogicalApps Acquired By Oracle
Redwood Shores-based Oracle said Tuesday evening that it has acquired Irvine-based LogicalApps, a provider of automated risk and compliance software. Financial terms were not disclosed. Oracle said that it will integrate LogicalApps' real-time policy enforcement software into its Governance, Risk and Compliance application suite. Genoptix Sets IPO Terms
San Diego-based Genoptix, a provider of laboratory services for the hematology and oncology market, said this morning in a filing with the SEC that it will offer 5 million shares of its common stock for between $14.00 and $16.00 per share. ReachLocal Raises $55.2M
Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal announced today that it has raised $55.2M in a venture funding round, led by Rho Ventures. The Series D investment also include Galleon Crossover Fund and VantagePoint Venture Partners. ReachLocal is a provider of local search engine marketing services for small businesses. The firm said that it was advised by Savvian Advisors, LLC in the transaction. The firm said it would use the funding to aggressively roll out its products both nationally and internationally. Xirrus Rolls Out Spectrum Analyzer
Westlake Village-based Xirrus said today that it has rolled out a new, embedded spectrum analyzer for its Wi-Fi arrays. The new feature allows the Xirrus Wi-Fi hardware to be used to monitor Wi-Fi networks. Spectrum Analyzers are used to analyze the use of wireless spectrum by IT administrators, to determine if there are unauthorized wireless networks in operation, or to locate sources of interference with Wi-Fi signals. FastSoft Signs College Sports Technology Firm
Monrovia-based FastSoft, a Caltech spinoff which is developing products for accelerating data transfer over the Internet, said today that its products have been selected by XOS Technologies. XOS, a provider of technology for collegiate and professional sports teams, will use FastSoft's Aria Internet acceleration device as part of its products. Financial terms were not disclosed. Solarflare Gets UNH Certification
Irvine-based Solarflare Communications said today that it has completed interoperability tests at the University of New Hampshire's Interoperability Lab (UNH-IOL). The testing of its 10GBASE-T PHY products from Solarflare covered conformance testing and interoperability of the firm's products with products from other vendors. Gateway Offers To Buy Packard Bell
Irvine-based computer maker Gateway said Monday afternoon that it has delivered a binding offer to acquire Packard Bell B.V., as part of the merger of Acer and Gateway. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Gateway said the deal is expected to close in either the fourth quarter of 2007 or the first quarter of 2008. Lap Shun (John) Hui and Clifford Holdings Limited currently own 75 percent of PB Holding, the parent company of Packard Bell.
