Anaptys Biosciences Raises $33.9MSan Diego-based Anaptys Biosciences, a biotech firm developing therapeutic antibodies, said last week that it has raised $33.9M in a Series B financing round. The funding came from Novo A/S, and also included Frazier Healthcare Ventures, Alloy Ventures, and Avalon Ventures. The firm also said that Numenor Ventures, WS Investment Company, and Dr. Nick Lydon also participated in the funding. Conexant Names VPNewport Beach-based Conexant Systems said this morning that it has named Craig J. Garen as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the firm's Broadband Access unit. Conexant said that Garen replaces Akram Atallah, who has left the firm to pursue other opportunities. Garen has previously served at LSI Corporation, Agere Systems, Lucent Technologies, and AT&T Microelectronics.
