REVA Medical Raises $42M
San Diego-based REVA Medical said Monday afternoon that it has raised $42M in a private financing round. The firm, which is developing bioresorbable stents for treating arterial disease, said that the round was led by Cerberus Capital Management and Brookside Capital. Brookside is an affiliate of private equity firm Bain Capital. Pequot Management, Medtronic, Domain Partners, and Group Outcome LLC also participated in the round. ParAccel Pulls In $20M
San Diego-based ParAccel, a firm that develops database management software, said Monday that it has raised $20M in a Series B funding. The round was led by Walden International, and also included Mohr, Davidow Ventures and Bay Partners. The firm said the funding would go to expand engineering, sales and support. ParAccel's software uses parallel processing techniques to accelerate database analytics; the software connects into SQL Server or Oracle databases.

Techforward Gets Second Round
Los Angeles-based TechForward, a firm which provides a way for consumers to guarantee buyback prices on consumer electronics items, said today that it has raised a second round of funding from New Enterprise Associates. Prior investor First Round Capital also participated in the round. Financial terms of the funding was not disclosed. Edgecast Networks Raises $6M From Steamboat
Los Angeles-based EdgeCast Networks is announcing today that it has raised $6M in a Series B financing, in a deal led by Steamboat Ventures. Steamboat is the venture capital fund associated with The Walt Disney COmpany. EdgeCast is a content delivery network (CDN) provider focused on rich media. Teledyne Buys Impulse Enterprise
Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies said today that its subsidiary, Teledyne Instruments, has agreed to acquire the assets of Impulse Enterprise. Impulse is a San Diego-based manufacturer of underwater electrical interconnection systems. Financial terms were not disclosed. Break.com Adds VP
Los Angeles-based Break.com said this morning that it has appointed Andrew Budkofsky as Senior Vice President of Sales. The online entertainment web site, which is focused on young males, said that Budkofsky joins the firm from POdshow, a podcasting company. Budkofsky has also served at Court TV, Microsoft, and Comedy Central and USA. Break.com provides an online web site which features user generated and professional video, pictures, and other entertainment.

Orange, California-based 8e6 Technologies, a developer of Internet filtering appliances, said today that it has partnered with CDW Government, CDW's sales arm focused on the government and educators. CDW will carry the firm's Internet filtering and security software. Stickam.com Connects Into Open Social
Los Angeles-based Stickam.com, an online, live social networking and web camera focused web site, said this morning that the firm will support Google's new OpenSocial API. OpenSocial is Google's new effort to create a common, software programming interface to access multiple social networking sites. No other details were announced.
