PhotoThera Finds $11M
San Diego-based PhotoThera, a developer of light therapy systems for treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, has quietly raised $11.0M in funding, socalTECH has learned. PhotoThera's devices are under clinical investigation to treat ischemic stroke. Details of the funding have not been announced. The firm has previously raised funding from Delphi Ventures, DeNovo Ventures, Hamilton BioVentures, Warburg Pincus, The Vertical Group, and Solstice Capital. Eyespot Gets Win With Action Sports Site
San Diego-based Eyespot has scored a win with action sports site Digital Action Sports Network (DASN), the firm said Friday. The sports site will use the firm's Video Platform to power its interactive video. Eyespot provides video hosting services for web sites. According to Eyespot, DASN will roll out a number of online properties, including skateboard.tv, snowboard.tv, motorcross.tv, surfer.tv and gravity.tv, focused on action sports. BasePoint Analytics Selected By CrossCheck Compliance
Carlsbad-based BasePoint Analytics said Thursday that its services have been selected by CrossCheck Compliance, a Chicago firm providing regulatory compliance and due diligence services to banks and mortgage lenders. Financial impact of the deal were not disclosed. BasePoint Analytics provides fraud analytics and consulting services for detecting suspicious mortgage loans; the company's software is used to calculate a fraud score for mortgage applications to flag potential fraud.

FastSpring Signs Customer
Santa Barbara-based FastSpring, a provider of e-commerce payment and merchandising software, said this week that MediaRECOVER, a provider of data recovery and security solutions, has selected the firm's software. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. FastSpring develops e-commerce software for firms selling products online; the firm is headed by Dan Engel, who was formerly at Google, and a VP of Market development at Picasa.

SYSPRO Rolls Doc Management Software
Costa Mesa-based SYSPRO said Thursday that it has rolled out a new document management software package for its ERP systems. The firm said that its new product, Document Management for SYSPRO, allows organizations to access, management, and automate routing of scanner paper documents, email, fax, and other digital content. The firm said the new capabilities are targeted at addressing areas like FDA and Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory accountability, as well as reducing the use of paper.
