Skweezer Partners With Smaato
Irvine-based Skweezer, a provider of mobile advertising and mobile web conversion software, said Monday that it has inked a partnership with Smaato, a provider of mobile advertising technology. Skweezer said it will begin distributing new mobile banner advertising feeds, including banner-based, cost-per-impression (CPM) ads, to its publishers from Smaato, which is an angel-back, Bay area startup. OleOle Buys Blog Site
Los Angeles-based OleOle, which is developing a user generated, social media site focused on soccer, said Monday that it has acquired Arseblog, a site focused on the Arsenal Football Club. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. OleOle is a new web site focused on global soccer (football) coverage, and launched Monday. The firm's CEO is Doug Knittle, who was founder of RazorGator. Arseblog is based in Dublin, Ireland, and was started in February of 2002.

Interpolls Links With Google On Ad Serving
Pasadena-based Interpolls announced Monday that the firm has been certified as a third party provider of rich media ad serving for Google's content network. The firm said it will serve its widgets, video banners, and other advertising content on Google's content network web sites. Interpolls creates advertising ad units which includes quizzes, polls, videos, and other types of rich media widgets. PC Club Acquired By Los Angeles Venture Capital Firm
California-based PC Club, a bankrupt personal computer retailer, has been acquired by a Los Angeles-based venture capital firm, NAOC Holdings. NAOC said today that it acquired PC Club last Thursday, May 15th, but did not disclose financial details of the acquisition. NAOC said that the acquisition will allow all 37 locations of PC Club, plus its two web sitse, to remain open for business. Kythera Takes $40M For Aesthetic Medicine
Los Angeles-based Kythera Biopharmaceuticals has scooped up another $40M in financing, in a third round, the firm announced today. Kythera said that the new round was led by JAFCO Co. Row 44 Raises $21M
Westlake Village-based Row 44, which is developing broadband systems for the commercial aviation market, said today that it has raised $21M in a round of equity investment. The round was led by PAR Capital Management. Conexant Rolls Out New Audio Chip
Newport Beach-based semiconductor manufacturer Conexant Systems has rolled out new chips which target the high definition audio market, the firm said today. Conexant said its new "speakers-on-a-chip" products provides digital audio/voice processors, audio codecs, and Class-D amplifiers into a single chip. VXI Technology Gets Private Equity Investment
Irvine-based VXI Technology, a developer of test instruments for industrial, military, and commercial applications, has scored a private equity injection from Alerion Capital Group and Merit Capital. Financial terms of the funding were not disclosed. VXI Technology said the new funding would go to help expand the firm's microwave test systems and LXI product lines. CerviLenz Gets $350K
CerviLenz, a firm developing a medical device for allowing obstetricians to measure cervical length in pregnant women, said last week that it has raised $350,000 in an investment.
