Gorilla Nation Signs Video Games Site
Los Angeles-based Gorilla Nation, a provider of ad representation services for online publishers, said Tuesday that the firm has signed on GGL, an online publisher focused on video games. Financial impact of the deal were not disclosed. Gorilla Nation said it would represent GGL's network of 15 sites focused on the video game market. Gorilla Nation said that GGL's sites deliver 12 million unique visitors per month, representing 250 million page views.

Nirvanix Targets Enterprise Backup
San Diego-based Nirvanix, a provider of Internet storage services, said Tuesday that the firm has rolled out a new offering targeted at enterprise customers. Nirvanix said its new Storage Delivery Network (SDN) for Enterprises product provides archival and backup storage for enterprises, and offers access via FTP, virtual CIFS/NFS drive mounts, and its open API for enterprise customers. RightScale Links With GigaSpaces
Santa Barbara-based RightScale, a venture backed provider of software for managing cloud computing and applications in Amazon's EC2 cloud computing services, said Tuesday that it has partnered with GigaSpaces Technology. According to the companies, they have integrated their two platforms. The integration means that GigaSpaces applications deployed on Amazon EC2 can be managed and monitored by RightScale's software. Interview with Jeff Green, NanoH2O
We recently bumped into Jeff Green, CEO of Los Angeles-based NanoH2O, an advanced materials startup focused on using nanotechnology for water desalinization, the use of filtering technology to remove salt from the oceans to supply clean drinking water. Disney To Stream Free, Full Length Movies On Web Site
North Hollywood-based Disney.com, a division of the Walt Disney Internet Group, said today that it will begin streaming full length movies, for free, on its web site. Disney said that it will stream full-length movies such as Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., Princess Diaries 2, and other Disney films for free on the Disney.com site, following airing of the films on ABC's Wonderful World of Disney. HireRight In $195M Merger
Irvine-based HireRight, and Virginia-based US Investigations Services, LLC, a provider of pre-employment, security investigations, and other services for the federal government, said Monday afternoon that the two have signed a definitive agreement to merge in a $195M transaction. According to the firms, USIS will pay HireRight stockholders $15.60 per share in cash for HireRight, which will become part of the USIS Commercial Services Division. Valeant Pharmaceuticals Sells Argentina Ops
Aliso Viejo-based Valeant Pharmaceuticals, a developer of specialty pharmaceuticals, said today that it has divested its Argentina commercial operations to a pharmaceutical company in Argentina. Financial terms of the sale and name of the buyer were not disclosed. Valeant said the move came as part of an effort to divest certain regions and simplify the firm's operations. Valeant Pharmaceuticals develops neurology, dermatology, and other pharmaceuticals.

Capzles Raises Series A
Los Angeles-based Capzles said today that it has raised a Series A funding round, and launched its services. Capzles did not disclose investors or the amount of the round. Capzules is a Web 2.0, social media site which allows users to upload photos, videos, and audio and share those in a story format with others. CFX Battery Quietly Raises Funding
Pasadena-based CFX Battery, a stealth spinout of Caltech working on battery technology, has quietly raised a round of venture capital. The funding was disclosed by Maurice Gunderson, of CMEA Ventures, as part of a keynote at the GreenTech 2008 conference in Pasadena last Friday. Amount and investors in the firm have not been disclosed, however, according to various sources, other investors in the company include U.S. Venture Partners and Harris and Harris.

FastSoft Gets Win
Pasadena-based FastSoft said Monday that it has signed on PAR Government Systems Corporation as a customer. FastSoft, which develops Internet acceleration products based on research spun out of Caltech, said that PAR will use the firm's technology to deliver geospatial files to federal government clients.
