StoneFly Ships Encrypted SAN Product
San Diego-based StoneFly, a provider of IP storage area network hardware for the data storage market, said this week that it has shipped a SAN-based product which encrypts data. According to the firm, the new encryption option is part of its StoneFly Integrated Storage Concentrator line of products. The new encryption option allows users to encrypt volumes stored on StoneFly's storage products. EMRISE Gets Early Approval On Acquisition
Rancho Cucamonga-based EMRISE, a manufacturer of electronic devices and communications equipment for the aerospace, defense, industrial, and communications market, said Thursday that it believes its $18M acquisition of Advanced Control Components may close earlier than estimated. The firm announced the deal to buy ACC, a supplier of high performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave devices for the military, aerospace, and other markets, on May 28th. Ixia Takes On P2P Simulation
Calabasas-based Ixia, a provider of test systems for testing IP networks, said Wednesday that the firm has rolled out new support for simulating peer-to-peer traffic. Ixia said its new IxLoad P2P product will allow service providers to see the effect of P2P traffic on its networks, and also allows network equipment manufacturers to detect and classify P2P traffic. CrownPeak Upgrades CMS Software
Los Angeles-based CrownPeak has released a major upgrade to the firm's web-based, software-as-a-service for content management, the company said earlier this week. According to CrownPeak, the firm's software now allows web developers to use any development tool to work with its templates and software, a file manager, and a web analytics feature for studying traffic to web sites using the software. LivHOME Acquires Minnesota Firm
Los Angeles-based LivHOME, a venture-backed firm providing home care for seniors, said earlier this week that it has acquired Continual Feast Companion Care, based in Minneapolis, MN. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Continual Feast Companion Care provides caregiving and companion services for seniors. LivHOME is venture backed by Kline Hawkes, Scale Venture Partners, and Tullis Dickerson & Co.
