International Rectifier Gets $1.6B Buyout Offer
El Segundo-based International Rectifier said Friday afternoon that it has received an unsolicited proposal from Vishay Intertechnology to acquire the firm. The deal is worth $21.22 per share, or approximately $1.6 billion. According to International Rectifier, the firm's board of directors will evaluate the proposal consultation with its financial and legal advisers. International Rectifier is a manufacturer of analog, digital, and mixed signal semiconductors.

Eyespot Taps Limelight For CDN Services
San Diego-based Web 2.0, video publishing firm Eyespot has inked a deal with Limelight Networks, to provide content delivery for its customers, the firm said Thursday. Eyespot said that it will use Limelight for its fully hosted video publishing platform. Eyespot offers video publishing tools and delivery of videos to customers; the firm's platform allows publishers to upload, edit, and distribute ad-supported videos.
